MIDINET

Syntax: MIDINET
Location: SMSQ/E, ATARI Emulators (MIDINET_rext)

The command MIDINET starts up a fileserver (similar to FSERVE) which can be used over a network connected via the MIDI ports.

MIDINET has built-in protection for files which can prevent other users in a Network accessing sensitive files. This is implemented by means of recognising files which start with a specific series of characters.

Files starting *H or *D cannot be accessed over the network. Those which start *R are read only.

CROSS-REFERENCE:
MNET is needed to control the Network.
